Trade mark Registration

Trade mark Registration is one of the safeguard available to business houses to protect their goodwill. At a very meagre amount one can register its logo or name of business or product.
The procedure involves searching the database for the existence of the logo/name.The fee for search is Rs.500/-. Afterwards an application is made for the registration of the trademark and a TM number is issued. The Application fees charged by the department for the same is Rs.2500/-.
Afterwards the department publishes the same in its gazatte and issues the Trademark if no objection is received.
